Abstracts & Papers

Requirements

Presentation at the conference will be subject to the acceptance of an abstract and the submission of a full-length manuscript. Abstracts should adhere to the following requirements:

The title should be concise (not more than 12 words)
It should bear the names of authors and their affiliations and the e-mail address of the corresponding author;
The abstract should not exceed 500 words
The abstract should include 3 – 5 keywords
Abstracts should be uploaded as Adobe pdf documents

Full-length Manuscript Review

Full-length manuscripts presented at the conference will be subject to a double-blind review after the conference, and accepted papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings. The reviewers will be tasked to ensure that:

The editorial standard of the paper is acceptable for an international conference

The contents of the paper are of interest to the target audience

The standard, methodology and quality of the work are appropriate

The four best papers, judged on both the manuscript and presentation, will be invited for publication in the R&D Journal of the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering.
